Reaching my late twenties and besides the mortgage (amazing I’d managed to get on the property ladder!) and other ‘standard’ outgoings having no more student, car loan or credit card debt. Shame it all starts again once the kids come along!
The emergencies that you have to plan for! When renting out our home I factored in that before long I am going to have stump up for a new washing machine – it’s 5 yrs old and lasting beyond that (two kids lots of muddy sports kit) would be a pleasant surprise.
This sounds like one for my 2020 money to do list! I recently moved house and into rented so know one day in the not too distant future I am going to have furnish a house again. As much as I will look to use freecycle and similar sites there will be a couple of ‘new’ must haves that must be paid for – like beds!
